9 Day Kenya Highlights Safari
Day 1: Arrival: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, clients will be met and transferred to Nairobi Hotel on bed and breakfast basis. Depending on the time of arrival, clients may choose an optional excursion.
Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu
Heading north after an early breakfast, you pass near Thika and continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. After Nanyuki town, continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here its fairly short hop to Samburu National Reserve, arrival at the lodge in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive arriving back at the lodge as the sunsets. Overnight at your prebooked Samburu lodge or camp on a full board basis.
Drive time approx.: 5.5 hours
Day 3: Samburu
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Then for the remainder of the morning, one is able to relax by the pool or terrace, overlooking the river. After lunch there will be another game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Chimpanzees Last 2 Northern White Rhinos
Day 4: Samburu to Ol Pejeta
Following an early breakfast, drive to Ol Pejeta conservancy, covering a scenic view through the Laikipia region. Pass through the bustling town of Nanyuki, offering a chance to feel the transition from Semi-arid to lush green plains. Arrive at Ol Pejeta in time for lunch at your lodge. Proceed for an afternoon game drive or relax in the lodge, retiring for dinner and overnight on full board basis.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta conservancy
Breakfast followed by early morning game drives, break for lunch and possibly a siesta. Afternoon game drives and walks within the conservancy. Retire to your lodge as the sun sets for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Ol Pejeta to L. Nakuru
Leave Ol Pejeta conservancy after breakfast. Transverse the equator, offering panoramic views of Mt Kenya. Pass through Nyahururu, with a stop at the Thompsons falls for a refreshing break. Continue the journey through scenic highlands and agricultural landscapes. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. After check in and a sumptuous lunch, head to lake Naivasha for an afternoon boat ride and guided walk in the crescent Island. Return to your lodge as the sun sets for dinner and overnight on full board basis.

Day 7: L. Nakuru to Masai Mara
Leave Lake Nakuru early after your breakfast and proceed towards the highlight of your journey, the Masai Mara. Leading through the rift valley escarpment and passing through Narok town. The landscape gradually transforms into vast Savannah plains as you approach the reserve. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy your lunch and relax. Early evening game drive retiring to your lodge for dinner and overnight on full board basis.

Day 8: Masai Mara
Following an early breakfast, depart on a morning game drive, returning to the camp/lodge mid-morning. After lunch, and perhaps a siesta, set off on an afternoon game drive and visit to the Masai Village (optional) returning to the lodge as the sunsets for your dinner and overnight
Day 9: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Following breakfast, depart Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Masai land. From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift valley escarpment keeping an eye for herds of giraffe and gazelle, before heading to the rift escarpment on a road built by prisoners during World War 2. Arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital around mid-day. Once in the city, clients will be dropped off in the city Hotel or the Airport for ongoing travel arrangements.
